Skoda Fabia

Skoda Auto, more commonly known as Skoda, is an automobile manufacturer based in the Czech Republic. Skoda became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group in 2000, positioned as the entry brand to the group.

In 1987 the Favorit model was introduced, and was one of a triumvirate of compact Western-influenced front wheel drive hatchbacks from the three main Eastern Bloc manufacturers around that time - the others being VAZ's Lada Samara and Zastava's Yugo Sana. The Favorit's appearance was designed by Italian design company Bertone. With some motor technology licensed from western Europe, but still using the Skoda-designed 1289 cc engine, Skoda engineers designed a car comparable to western production.

Wiesmann presents Design study Wiesmann Spyder

Wiesmann at Geneva Motor Show 2013

Wiesmann showcased the design study of a twoseater, extremely purist, convertible sports car at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013. Powerful, ultra-light and purist, the Wiesmann Spyder is the essence of Wiesmann’s philosophy. With a kerb weight of less than 1000 kg, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h less than 4 s and makes a top speed of approx. 290 km/h. Basis for this excellent performance is a 420-hp V8 high speed motor which is powered by a 4 liters of engine capacity. The two-seater has no doors or windscreen and is the most extreme Wiesmann ever built.

The Wiesmann Spyder design study is based on the Wiesmann brothers’ early designs, though it also incorporates their many years of experience in sports car construction. It demonstrates the sports car manufacturer’s receptiveness to trends because many Wiesmann fans have approached the company founders in recent years with requests for an extremely purist model.

In Geneve there will be a design study presented, which needs to undergo the judgement of the experts. General Manager of the manufactory Friedhelm Wiesmann says: “We want to test the marketability of such cars in Geneve”, and he goes on: “The feedback of customers, partners and experts has high influence on the consideration of advancing the Spyder model.” Wiesmann has not yet decided whether to put the Spyder into production. If it does go into production, this won’t be before 2013.

Yes Roadster 3.2

The new YES Roadster 3.2 is the perfect conceptual advancement of the YES! and sticks to its own principles: pure driving pleasure.

A powerful 3.2-liter-V6-engine with 255 hp produces an un compromising driving machine, one that is powerful, vibrant in its performance and super - charged with passion. The result is an heir honouring its legacy yet adopting trendsetting shapes and technology. – simply a revolutionary evolution!

Compared to its predecessor, the new YES! has grown significantly. Larger engines and a longer wheel base have resulted in more over - hang at the front as well as the rear leading to a more stretched and full of suspense appearance of the roadster. The wedge-shaped ascending side line and the racy accentuated wings in the front and rear do remain THE striking attributes.

For the »YES! Roadster 3.2 Turbo« the concept was taken one step further: an especially developed rear wing spoiler assures the necessary down force, to bring 355 HP safely onto the street.

The »YES Roadster 3.2 Turbo« is a driving machine that relocates limits .

The person driving it has to be capable of accelerating 930 kg in 3.9 seconds to 100 km/h.
Manoeuvring it is a balancing act between dominating and being dominated. The power is
transferred unaltered onto the streets. This is what requires the Turbo’s driver utter concentration.

Rewarded with a unique and sensational sense of driving. An experience you will never forget .

Saturn

The Saturn Corporation was an automobile manufacturer and brand, established on January 7, 1985 as a subsidiary of General Motors in response to the success of Japanese automobile imports in the United States.

The company marketed itself as a "different kind of car company," and operated somewhat independently from its parent company for a time, with its own assembly plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, unique models, and a separate retailer network.

Alex C. Mair began discussions of a revolutionary new, small-car project codenamed "Saturn" in June, 1982. In November, 1983, the Saturn idea was publicized by General Motors' Chairman Roger B. Smith and GM's President F. James McDonald. Twelve months later, the first Saturn demonstration vehicle was revealed. On January 7, 1985, the Saturn Corporation was officially founded.

Saturn's first compact crossover SUV was introduced for the 2002 model year as the Vue, based on a globally used GM design. For 2003, Saturn introduced the Ion as a replacement to the S-Series. For 2005, Saturn began selling the Relay, a minivan and the first Saturn based on similar models from other GM brands. That same year, the L-Series was discontinued. The Sky roadster was introduced in 2006 as a 2007 model. Also for 2007, the Aura midsize sedan made its way to dealerships, alongside the Outlook, a larger CUV than the Vue, and was the last year the Ion was produced. The Ion was replaced by the European-built Astra in 2008. During the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Saturn revealed its Flextreme concept vehicle, which was a rebadged Opel Flextreme.

Saturn S-Series cars were produced from 1991–2002. There were 3 Generations of S-Series Cars. First Generation S-Series cars were produced from 1991–1994. For the 1995 Model year, Saturn implemented a "First Generation" exterior, and "Second Generation" interior. The exterior of the 1995 model year looked the same as the first generation cars, but exhibited larger gauge faces on the instrument cluster, and a redesigned middle console. First Generation engines were rated at 85 horsepower (63 kW) for the Single Overhead Cam Engines, while the Dual Overhead Cam Engines were rated at 124 horsepower (92 kW) for the entire run of S-Series cars (1991–2002). In 1996, the Second Generation S-Series Sedan was introduced and remained virtually unchanged for the rest of the vehicle's production run. In 1997, the Second Generation of the Sport Coupe model was introduced with a more "scooped" headlight front. The 1999 Coupe models received a suicide door behind the driver side door. The S-Series was produced in three variations: Coupe (SC), Sedan (SL), and Wagon (SW). The Wagon was introduced for the 1993 Model year and was produced until 2001.
The first real change came with the 2000 Saturn L-Series mid-size car. It shared the GM2900 platform with the Opel Vectra, along with its engine, and was built at a GM factory in Wilmington, Delaware. In 2003, the Saturn Ion replaced the S-Series compact.
The market did not respond well to these models. Ion production lines were halted for two weeks in 2003 to allow dealer inventory to reduce. The L-Series was canceled after production of the 2005 models, and the Ion was canceled after 2007.

Saleen

Saleen, Incorporated, commonly known as Saleen, was an American manufacturer of high-performance sports cars and high-performance automotive parts in Troy, Michigan, formerly based in Irvine, California. Founded by Steve Saleen in 1983, Saleen was a Delaware corporation owned by Hancock Park Associates from 2001 to 2009.
Saleen manufactured limited edition, high-performance vehicles. Saleen was an automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and was the last American small car manufacturer bearing OEM status. Unlike aftermarket tuner companies, Saleen was subject to the same federal regulations governing design and testing of their automotive products as larger vehicle manufacturers such as Ford, General Motors, and/or Toyota. Most of Saleen's vehicles were highly modified versions of existing mass-produced sports cars such as the Ford Mustang. Saleen produced over 8,000 modified Mustangs from 1983 through 2009. It also produced modified versions of a number of other Ford models.
